For over seven decades, the Branson-Hollister Lions Club has been dedicated to improving our local community through service, leadership, and fellowship.

Milestones & Projects

Early Years

Lake Taneycomo Boat Ramp

The first big project of the club was putting in a boat launch ramp on Lake Taneycomo. Members also dedicated their time and labor to cut shoreline brush from City Park to the highway bridge.

1960

Mulligan Stew

Our oldest annual money-raising event, the Mulligan Stew, was held in March of each year starting in 1960.

1970

Annual Turkey Shoot

Started in 1970, the Turkey Shoot was held in October or November of each year. The first Chairman of this event was Lion Harlan Brown, followed by Lion Joe Schwab, and later PDG Lion Sherman Henry.
