Our Heritage

The First Big Project

The first big project of the club was putting in a boat launch ramp on Lake Taneycomo. We also cut shoreline brush on Lake Taneycomo, from City Park to the highway bridge.

Mulligan Stew (1960)

Started in 1960, the Mulligan Stew was our oldest annual money-raising event, held in March of each year. (Discontinued)

Turkey Shoot (1970)

Started in 1970 and held in Oct/Nov. The first Chairman was Lion Harlan Brown. (Discontinued)

District Leadership

Our club is proud to have produced 4 District Governors who have served with distinction:

Lion Leo Miller (1975-76)
Lion Sherman Henry (1980-81)
Lion Carl Schmidt (1990-91)
